This is important because my previous answer incorrectly suggested the manual transmission. The 2023 Overland order information lists the 8-speed 850RE as the automatic transmission paired with the 3.6L V6.

It is designed primarily for conventional 4WD/off-road use rather than the Rubicon's Rock-Trac system.

An optional Trac-Lok anti-spin rear differential was available.
Important distinction
The Overland does not normally have the Rubicon's:
- 4.10 gears
- Front Tru-Lok locker
- Rear Tru-Lok locker
- 4:1 Rock-Trac transfer case
- Electronic sway-bar disconnect
Those are Rubicon-oriented features.
